  • Quick Reminder

Just a reminder to everyone, please do not go around killing npc's, such as patrols and/or guards, unless there is a DM overseeing it all or if you have prior approval by a DM.

    Thank you!

I am assuming you are speaking about the Legion patrols on Pioneers Way... That would be Anosh's doing. I thought it was ok as a DM was present the first time I did it. Would you like me to stop, or may Anosh continue? Also as a side note, I did it earlier today and they were all in one group. It was almost my demise. If possible, they should patrol like that everytime, especially since Anosh demonstrated they can be picked off when the DM was present
    Active:
    Lazklesh: Water-soul, Fury of Auril
Vlad A'dier: Arrow of Akadi, Blackwood Merc
Jobella Nightjaw: Hunteress and blood spiller

    Retired:
Anosh Lis'lahoul: The ghoul of Serrano, The Nameless Monk. Accepted his fate, and accepted death at the hands of his master.

Unless a DM gave you approval to do it again, then it would be best to not do it anymore.

And let me clarify here that I am talking about faction npc's.

It feels awkward thinking about Sundren's most wanted enemies strolling through neutral areas, and the enemies treating you like they don't even know you. Is there any way to program Legionnaire NPCs to attack enemies of the state on sight?

Otherwise, I feel that if we can only intelligently interact with NPCs on Sundren through DMs, then the patrolling NPCs should only be present with DMs. The amount of OOC explanations and apologies towards metagaming has to increase to explain their presence and lack of interaction, and I believe this is something we all want to minimize.

"Realistically," Sundren's enemies of the state wouldn't travel the main roads. They'd cut through forests, fields, untrodden paths, and so on to get from A to B unnoticed. They can't do that because the server doesn't have those sorts of areas represented. I'm perfectly happy with patrolling npc soldiers not jumping bad guys.

Vladadier, unless you have a DM overseeing it in each instance, don't do it.

Maybe they would, but as there isn't a real legion presence in the valley (the only legion controlled area is the Gate AFAIK) I don't see why avoiding the main roads is all that important, or why being sneaky-sneaky is limited to enemies of the state.

It seems to me that its just as dangerous for the many Sundren loyalists to travel around in the valley (Blackhand, Demons, Bloodmaim, etc...) as it is for enemies of the state.

Yeah, when you quote only a phrase from my whole post and ignore the context of the discussion, it looks like we have something to disagree on.

I saw a new post, I read a new post -- it wasn't a devious plot to disagree with you, friend.
