    Hello, everyone!

I've decided that since I am unable to get on the dm client to run events for people, due to being stuck with a laptop that barely runs nwn2 as it is, I would do what I could to help with making loot tables for some of the areas to level at.

Currently, I am going to work on the loot tables for the Viridale Forest. After that, I'll likely start work on areas like Shar's Abbadon and Argyle Keep.

But I would like to have your input on what sort of things you would like to see dropped. So please, give your suggestions!

I personally would like to see more Spot and Sense Motive gear to counter the sheer amount of Hide and Bluff currently on the server. This isn't so much meant to neuter the roguish denizens here, though, for they have their job and do it well. But it'd be nice for those lacking in skill-based defenses to have the means to match them in some way or form.

I would also appreciate more random, interesting combat through a PC's equipment, so combat effects on weapons to supplement damage. Right-clicking is all well and cool, but consider a lack in AB on a weapon in exchange for the ability to stun/blind/silence/hold with a percentage each attack. Characters with access to flurries every round with light weapons would see more use, so consider giving larger weapons a higher percentage chance to compensate.

I would like to see more denzien specific gear, it helps make the feel of the area when you kill a powerful Orc or Goblin Shaman and get some ritualistic stone dagger, or a jagged spear that can tear your guts out. Maybe have a chance to drop some sort of Greataxe for the Orc Chief. He is one mean spawn and there is little reward for how punishing he can be.

Another thing I would really like to see is a greater variety of weapons. There are certain types of weapons that are generally overlooked: Kukri's, Halberds, Falchions, Kama's, bastard swords, hand axes, etc. Some of these do have some faction gear out there, but for low levels its pretty slim.

Belts and rings would be very useful, as they are rare at best in faction stores and absolutely nonexistant elsewhere. Longswords of any kind would also be nice. It's statistically the best weapon, and yet it's the least common bladed weapon available to purchase/find. Being able to loot any of the more common simple and martial weapons that are slightly enchanted would be nice.

+1 EB weapons would really be nice for people to find in the 5-8 level range. Single use only items would also be very nice. Stink bombs, entangle bombs, darkness bags. That sort. Tiny explosive bombs, nothing high on damage. Item's with on-hit effects are also quite nice. Daze, blind, doom, bane, silence. Set them at 5% or 10% chance to proc, and you've got an item that's useful all the way to the mid teens. Minor elemental damage is also nice. Adding 2 fire or electric damage per hit is a nice early-mid level damage boost for any front liner.
Tigen Amastacia: Died in events so you didn't have to.

Quintin Ulsteris: Nice-guy Legion engineer, deceased son of House Ulsteris.

Clandriel Cain: AKA "Fire-eyes" AKA "Demon hunter" AKA "OH MY GOD, WHY IS HE STILL STABBING ME!!??"

I agree with Torgar here. More usables, and +1 stuff as well as skill bonus stuff. I've seen a book in the exigo store that gives passive skill bonuses when in your inventory, that's a really nice thing to have too!

It seems to me that server economics right now is high levels that get lots of gold and magic stuff in their loot, and low levels that spend most of their hard-earned gold buying it off them. (No offense meant to high level characters or their players - all I've done business with are actually very forthcoming and sympathetic with low-levels)

From level 1-10 My'athvin has found the following magic items: 2 stone shields, 2 beserker stage helmets and a cyan ring. this is a bit dissapointing. I may be unlucky. But I really like when you can actually use the stuff you find in the loot, instead of paying a lot of gold to those that have a lot of gold to get what you need.

I know Sundren is supposed to be low magic, But a +1 weapon would still be nice to find now and then. Especially on red/blue spawns. Sometimes I'm a bit unsure what the added reward of killing hard spawns is.

I like the idea of more trinkets which give skill bonuses personally. I always liked "junk finds" too, things to sell. Broken swords, little golden statues. Belts and cloaks are notably missing from loot tables though.

I also have to agree with torgar, jewelry belts and cloaks. I only have one char that even fills all those slots due to the lack of options.

Thank you, everyone, I really appreciate the input so far!

My hope is to make some items that people will want to keep throughout leveling up. And also make some items lore specific to the Viridale.

This sets off alarms. I'd rather see a combination of midly powerful disposable items (charged items/potions/ammo), and weaker level-appropriate permenant items (swords/armor).

...This has been my plan from the beginning.

I will be making a variety of weapons and armors, and useable items.

I dunno, a capable +1 weapon is something that'll stick with a character for a longish time. decent armour as well. The old rotten blade from the Banedead chief or the armour from the old Gnoll Matron are prime examples.

This was only the case because there was such a paucity of loot and items after those early quests. If the loot tables and areas are updated to include level-appropriate gear as PCs advance, the "permanent" equipment found in low-level areas will necessarily be set aside as PCs adventure in higher level areas and find better, level-appropriate gear.

Something that seems rare, but not overly powerful, are items with spell slots. Even lower level ones are helpful, especially at those lower character levels. Problem usually comes that they have cleric, FS combined and wind up making the cost too high to be worth it.
