Stacking healing potions

I have no idea whether this belongs in another subforum. (like bugs?)

I bought a stack of healing potions from a temple. I used a few. I then found some in the loot. They wouldn't stack. They never seem to want to do that on Sundren. This was frustrating, since I couldn't keep tabs on my supply without using 3-4 hotkeys.

Then before I had to go to kill a specific mob, I made sure my 10 stack were in my hotkey, as I knew I had to burn some. At that point I had 3 stacks in my inventory, 1, 6 and 10. I watched my character being utterly destroyed while feebly trying to drink a potion she wasn't allowed to by UI. I had to go into the inventory and find it, but too late.

The result? 4-5 wasted healing potions and 30 vitality loss. I'm not complaining about dying. Just really amazed and confused.

How's that thing working again? Am I the only one experiencing this? Is there some work-around to that issue that I can do myself?

I don't think the loot drop potions stack with the buyables. I've run into this before, but never died from it. I usually end up selling them, and buying stackables....

I don't buy the pre-stacked potions. Instead, I buy them one at a time. A bit of a hassle but I had no more problems stacking after that.

I really wish you can stack potions in amounts bigger than 10, though.

I've found that if you place the potions in your inventory then drag them to a quick slot they will stack in groups of more than 10. Assuming you have more than 10

The icon that shows in the quickslot is terribly inconsistent with that. Sometimes it does show stacks greater than 10, but sometimes it shows the individual stack in the inventory.

What I meant is stacks greater than 10 in the inventory; removing clutter and hassle with quickslots.

Ah, I misunderstood you.. Yeah I'd like to see that too. But then everything would stack at more than 10 wouldnt it, or could it be scripted for just potions?

The potions stack higher than 10 for me, but once one stack (sometimes 1 or 2 potions) is exhausted the hotkey ceases to function, meaning you have to go into your inventory to use a potion.

I too have died from this bug.

Right, I know what you're getting at, and I was talking about the other issue (the one that makes you die). Personally I don't think the inventory stacking past 10 is a problem, but it would make things look tidier I suppose.

come to think of it, my 10 stack that didn't work in the hotkey ui,may have 11 as total number. Maybw thats what caused the malfunction. Thanks for the feedback guys
