Look..
The past few days have been aggrivating for some DMs. There has been some bigtime issues with PVP and other stupid things that have been occuring over the past week or so.
We try to be nice. Seriously. I'm pretty laid back but I'm sorry but I may have to start cracking down on some folks. *pulls out his black licorice*
Everybody's shit stinks. Yours and mine. People get on here claiming they Rp'd something for 15 years.. I have heard time and time again. Well guess what ? So far half the people I hear that have Rp'd for massive amounts of years aren't any better than some who've only done it for few. Don't get a big head.. if you wanna get a big head go be a rockstar like me.
Here are some issues that people need to be reminded of:
Issue Number 1 : Winning
Please stop it! I sometimes give more XP to people who lose than win. Seriously.. I love when a character is humbled and accepts the loss. A character who can say.. "If it weren't for the punk kids and their mangy dog...I'd be taking over the world right now!"
This goes for everyone, even Drow players. PVP is just something that must happen at times but everyone, don't abuse it.
Issue Number 2: Whining ( not winning ,whining)
Please stop it! Don't whine to a DM when they make a ruling. Seriously.. ( like how this is becomeing a pattern?
) if something happens to your character.. don't friggin complain about it. You know what that does to me? It makes me wanna sick Jun on you. You don't want that.
If you have a concern about a situation... go on with the RP and then after it is done... Politely ask why something was done ,or PM it to the proper DM who ruled it. Its quite simple.
Be nice to each other as players and don't friggin ASSUME! Ask first .. be gentle once in awhile.. typing does not give emotions people can read things the wrong way.. I get this all the time.
Issue Number 3: Metagaming
Please stop it! I can't seem to stress this enough. Seriously.. just because crap is posted on the RP forum doesn't mean your character has the right to know whats going on. Just because you hear something OOC doesn't mean you have the right.
For example: A character that you thought was good.. joins the darkside. You find out about it OOC and then you decide that " Hell no.. my character doesn't get tricked..and i don't lose.. im gonna make sure my character knows about this somehow!" well.. thats metagaming.
Your character can make assumptions however..
For example: A drow that seems good to you may not be, due to some trusted friends who told you that the drow was hanging around a for sure evil drow. Eventhough there is no proof that the Good drow has done.. "evil " acts, you can only assume that that drow could be evil (Since drow are "evil" in nature). Then you can RP your character accordingly but still not knowing truly that the character is indeed "evil" or of the "darkside".
Issue Number 4: Exploiting
Please continue it! Please do this.. so I can catch you and ban you! Seriously.. It would make my day .. please.. please...
" Lordy GORDY! Let the boy ban a player!!"
A reminder to you all .. spells like False life.. that stack you with 200 + hitpoints.. is an exploit. Having a fire spell on your sword for 3 days straight? Yep.. exploit. If you feel that.. "whoah.. is this right? It just doesn't seem right that my character now has 200 hitpoints instead of 80.. hmmm" Maybe yout think its fine *shrugs* but seriously think about it. Ask a DM.. it doesn't hurt
Touching Iara's ghetto fanny or licking her leg.. nope.. that is not an exploit. That is due to exposure.. not exploit.. or..mmm.. anyways.
All in all.. Im cracking down guys. I give you all respect as players.. I am a player on here as well. Think about having fun for the benefit of the other. Think about sacrificing a little bit of your character's Badassness for someone elses benefit. Give a little bit of communication..

It is difficult for a DM to run a quest when they have to deal with issues like above.. especially the whining. I for one have had trouble doing any quests lately due to some player issues and the such *huffs*
DON'T BE IGNORANT TO THE RULES! THEY ARE HERE IN THE FORUMS FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE! WE WILL NOT HESITATE TO INFRACT YOUR ARSE OR BAN YOU BECAUSE YOU CLAIM YOU DID NOT KNOW!
