  • Info - Real Time Server Statistics

I made a PHP script to grab stats I'm saving for players to review. I wanted to make this public in the hopes people will do one of two things.

    1) Stop saying everyone is playing XXXXX
    2) Consider server balance when they make a character

    http://www.sundren.org/index.php?page=statistics

There'll be a front page link for it. It's up to date when you view it.

(Please ignore the Animal, it's a script bug where if people are possessed during the 20 minute save, it thinks their character is an animal for the stat update)

Im the only divine champion, cool! by the way, is the population of humans a bit too large or is Sundren mainly suppose to have alot of Humans? Good to know theres atleast one of each class and race.

there can never be to many humans even in a diverse serface comunity like is around 50%. a normal one is more like 90% humans.

also it looks like we do have a few to many mages, not quite enough pally's and barbarians though

Oh my god... This is awesome. Perfect for someone who wants to play a race or class that's underrepresented.

You're awesome (as always), GBX! *bows down*

You know, come to think of it, we don't really have a lot of paladins... Which is strange, seeing as Sundren has a very prominent and Paladin-friendly/focused church.

Then again, it takes a decent RP'er to pull off a good paladin, so maybe people are intimidated... Or just bored with that class.

I play Aasimar Paladin most of the time, and I didn't here because I was afraid it wouldn't be unique...dumb me...
~Player of Donovan Fane. Does that make me crazy?

Bishop Cassius is an Aasimar Paladin. Personally it's the only type of good character I like.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

How does the class thing work? If one is rogue 3/paladin 2, does the script mark him down as a rogue or paladin if he happened to choose paladin levels first? Or mark as both?

im guessing both since it counts prestige classes too

                          Woof, woof!!

Wood elves are no more intelligent than dogs... so that does make sense.

No, seriously - great thing you have here, GBX!

yeah, there are many more classes in the stats than there are races, so if a character is multi-classed it much count each class separately.

Interesting to see the spread...I guess a lot of people start with a few levels of fighter as the basis for their build then.

It'd be interesting to see similar stats for, say, alignment distribution or level spread. Not that I'm asking for that, lord knows GBX has enough to do, just saying it'd be interesting.
