Class Review: Druid
NWN Definition: "Druids cast divine spells much the same way clerics do, though most get their spells from the power of nature rather than from deities. Their spells are oriented toward nature and animals. They strive to live in harmony with the natural world, and hate anything that is not part of the natural cycle, especially aberrations and undead creatures. In addition to spells, druids gain an increasing array of magical powers, including the ability to take the shapes of animals, as they advance in level."
FRwiki Definition: "A druid is a versatile and often heroic character, capable in both combat and casting evocations. Druids obtain these primal powers from being at one with nature or from one of several patrons of the wild, often gods or powerful nature spirits. Druids are not often trained in wearing heavier armors or most weapons but instead have the ability to change into powerful beast forms. Through their evocations and abilities as a creature of the wild, druids can turn the tide of a battle, hindering their foes as easily from afar or in a melee or sometimes striking them with deadly force or healing nearby allies."

MY VIEW
Much the same as clerics except nature centric regardless of which diety the charachter follows. Being as the view of the natuarl world is different for almost every nature diety druids are all over the map.
To be honest the entire class doesn't make sense to me, the no metal rule yet scimitars are ok...I guess it would be more fun if you could transition while wildshaped making the ability more feasable.
Really the same thing for RPing clerics applies to druids, just research what a druid of so and so is supposed to do and go from there.
I’ve decided to risk creating a firestorm by doing a short review like this on all the base and PrC classes available on Sundren and ask for the communities input on anything related to that class such as RP tactics, personal views, lore tidbits, and character build strategies.
Keep it clean, thanks.
Does anyone else thing whoever wrote that section of the FRwiki might have had one too many of something?
