  • A Priest and a Pirate Walk Into...

...the Trade Tier of Sundren. They are new to both the city and country. What kind of information would they want to know from NPCs there?

I'd appreciate any input. These can be stories, general lore, even duplicative things covered in the Wiki. Thanks!

Depends on the ethos of the priest and the relative affinity of the pirate. Personally I'd send them both straight to the temple of umberlee. Priest and pirate of umberlee? Sounds made of adventure!

*edit* Actually that idea is pure sex. Please dont steal it ~ all I need now is a friend....

OK, take out the priest and pirate part.

If you were adventuring in a brand new city, what kind of RPG questions would you like to have answered about its culture?

A bit about what people do day to day in sundren (a bit mind you, not a lot). Places of interest; the exigo trading post has alot of good work there with the fetch/carry quests ~ places where you wouldn't ordinarily go on your daily grinding trip to spittlefist caves
Bars and taverns could have a few more talking people with bits of drunken gossip. Only place I can think of that has any is the menacing mariner and Jimmy's (the latter being a hub for near-do-wells).

The inn in Aquor actually has some fantastic npc conversations. Sadly, none of their tales are explorable (anymore).

Enetering any new city i would like to get a mental map of the city, its main features, areas of specific interest to me (e.g. Wayun Yutani HQ or the Sundren Museum of Unnatural History etc). Then:

              a) get my bearings, find a safe haven.
              b) know which areas to avoid so i dont get robbed
              c) gain some information on local custom and social interaction so i dont get bashed
              d) gain an idea of the local laws
              e) find a place to eat within my budget
              f) gain an idea of how much things should cost so i dont get ripped off.
