Tigen misses Maia, that's for sure. I always had a blast when I RPed with Maia, and I remember often saying as much to Zobe. Been missing you lots.

~_~ ehh...
Okay, seeing that I've seen several "I enjoyed your RP", "I miss Maia", "You idiots ought to come back already" comment... maybe I ought to prod this thread is a, say, more constructive direction?
Because, really, the whole point was to point out the anomaly of the pageviews on Maia's bio and pointing out I tried making it more current to justify the attention. However, I had compelling reasons to discontinue participating on Sundren. I don't want to elaborate overmuch because the point wasn't to stir drama.
So, yeah. Positive. So, I'll ask you guys in all candidness:
What should I be looking forward to if I chose to come back to Sundren? What place would there be for Maia if she became active again? Others looking forward to more activity from me... what would you look forward to seeing?Maia Nanethiel ~ Moon Elf Female Ranger

There are reasons to return to Sundren and there are reasons not to. Like every game revolving around a community of sorts, it has its good points and its flaws.
There is no point in returning however for the sake of trying to find a very specific place in said community, as such things are too unpredictable to fully plan. Also, falling short of your original predictions and/or expectations may simply end in your dissappointment.
I entirely believe every person on here when they say they wish for your return, as I cannot possibly fanthom NOT enjoying your storytelling. I personally am looking forward to seeing you again when the new Neverwinter game comes out. However, I doubt anyone here wants you to return to something that you yourself would not find enjoyable. Because of that, no one can tell you why to return. Only you can make the descision whether or not to return to Sundren and make the descision as to why it would be worthwhile to do so.sigpic

You and I do not think alike on this, Silas.
The point is, the free time I have right now is filled with things I find enjoyable enough. That time, however, is something I have in a finite quantity so I mean to have the time I spend it on spent well.
I have good memories of my time spent here throughout the life of this community - it's why I bother to take a peek from time to time. However, the gloss of nostalgia is not nearly enough to have me wish to pick up Sundren again as I am skeptical what discontented me would get any better.
Still, since time is the currency here which is really involved, it feels fair to give the people the opportunity to seduce me to their way of thinking. That's the way promoting something goes - after all, any decision I would make is presently based on what might be outdated factors and in light of that, I'm giving Sundren the benefit of the doubt.Maia Nanethiel ~ Moon Elf Female Ranger

QFT. Long story short, we'd love to have you if you wish to come back. If you don't, that's your decision. Silas also has the right of it in that no one can make your choice for you, and no one on the staff is going to list the reasons why you should return.
We've been doing our best to make changes that fix balance (a task on par with Sisyphus' stone up a hill), and have been working with the players here to promote as good an experience as we can possibly provide.
I'll leave this thread open for now, so other folks can post. But if the thread turns into a 'Where Sundren Missed The Mark Thread', this thing will be closing faster than Gamling can pass gas."Use the Force, Harry" -Gandalf

Me and Jacklyn came back for a brief stint - we're on hiatus again at the moment, probably for the next... oh, two years or so that Skyrim is enjoyable (and Guild Wars 2, if it gets released before Skyrim is played to dust). I wish Maia had still been around, because I had fun with you. If you had stuck around, there might have even still been a semblence of Elven Community for Eirimil to hang around in and be the crotchety old uncle no one talks to.Active
