  • Current Population--What is you?

I'd like to get an idea of what kind of characters are running around Sundren. Since the statistics page isn't functioning, I was hoping you guys would be willing to post your current main characters and the trends you currently see when it comes to race/class/alignment/faction.

Since my Judo Dwarf (TM) would likely bug out and end up paralyzed while trying to pin dragons, I figure I could roll up a char to fill in whatever niche is missing on Sundren.

I play a cowardly elf commoner with no talents whatsoever. See siggy below for details.

      Weird poll...

My advice, maybe list your character ideas in a few words and ask which the community would like to see most... this one feels a little to broad to be of great use.

Good idea, thanks. I'm still curious as to the general demeanor of the server now, though.

        Some of my character concepts:

        1. Drug-addled dwarf. Originally, I was thinking this for Judo Dwarf, but that most likely won't be happening. Definitely a basic melee'r, probably barbarian/fighter-type, as anything too complicated would be beyond his patience/understanding. Little people are the best at being ill-tempered, in my opinion.

        2. A monk. I'm not sure exactly what race he would be, but I definitely want to rp something outside "normal" monks. Yes, he's dedicated to seeking his enlightenment, but his order finds that [insert something unique] is the way to do it. Maybe womanizing and challenging strangers to fights?

        3. A character that is dedicated to bringing justice, only his brand of justice is murder over the slightest offenses, and with little fact-checking before committing the deed. I'm imagining scenarios where he catches word of someone stealing something small, then he stabs that person and his brother. Basically a complete loon, but with a rigid (if twisted) sense of morality.

        4. Hardcore orc. Kill all elves, burn hoomans, take land, 'dis forest is mines now, ect.

Granted some of those may be combined, but those are the big ones at the moment.

Kyle Rendell is the head of your order.

Evil helmite, or Banite. Either way, in the Legion, because the Black Hand are terrorists, and we don't negotiate with terrorists.

Liira is the goddess of joy. She charges her followers to bring happiness to all and to squelch any depressions or sadness.

Make an assassin that focuses on the second part of that. Happiness is contagious, so is sadness. The war of good and evil pales in comparison to the war of joy and sorrow. Those that bring sadness into this world must die, for the good of the many.

The clerics of Liira pretend not to know your character at temple picnics. You have no idea why this is.

I think I've got the basics of my character worked out. Anyone familiar with the Brotherhood of the Scarlet Scourge? Within a couple of months, you will be (assuming my character isn't permakilled too early).

Lol, whats ridiculous is that Elves outnumber dwarves in this poll.

Of course this can be explained by the fact the majority of Dwarves can't read

I'm sure it has absolutely *nothing* to do with having sweet dwarf-only DR feats. Nothing at all.

It makes me sad that 42.86% of the people who responded to this poll are divine casters.

Well I normally play high dex stealthy characters. Pel my ranger is a darkwood stalker, Fox my thief is a rogue/IB and Falmari is ...wwwwelll a divine caster (with 18dex).

The evil blind date number 3. sounds like my concept for a paladin of hoar (which roguethree quickly made light work of drilling into the ground). He believes in justice but his means are a little more than questionable; he evens sees other paladins as evil because they tolerate injustice to uphold the law (which can in essence be an evil act).

Perhaps unsuprising - Divine casters have a large amount of variety open to them that simply isn't available to those who can't do the god wiggle, the mixture of PRC classes is heavily weighted that way, with some 17 of the 38 being divine caster based.

That said, the groups of people I tend to encounter during DMing are normaly a mix of different classes, with no one class standing clear of the others (though human is the most common race by far. As it should be).
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

In the peaks you would imagine orcs being very high of the food chain!

I have a level 19 paladin and a level 16 favored soul/not stormlord. Yay divine casters! Oh, and I'm also going to start playing more.
