    My actual opinion:

I just think it'd be neat if not everyone was a demigod. I'd like it if certain extraordinary things were kept a little bit more rare - I'd like it if meteor swarms and full heals weren't so commonplace. It'd be cool if a healers with Remove Disease were valuable assets instead of being 98% of the server. That kind of stuff. I like low-magic. I like amazing things to be amazing.

It's not really about balance or power distribution, for me. I would like it if diseases and curses were scary and distinguished instead of just being chores to get rid of; I would like resurrection to be a miracle instead of a favour we pass around. Preserving the specialness of magic (and of the natural world) is difficult when everyone is a master of it.

With the level cap gone, the ease of some people (myself included) to tell another player 'lolbuffme so i can grind to 20', and the new focus being geared towards levels 20+, these days are long gone. And I don't think they're coming back.

Personally I've had the most fun at around the level 10 mark. Mystic theurges would be less overpowered at 10-12 level as well; while still remaining viable for anyone who wants a bit of both casting classes.

            In my opinion of course.
