  • Practiced Spellcaster not working as intended?

    Hi, Everyone,
I've been following the bug thread about the Practiced Spellcaster feat working better than intended. I'm having exactly the opposite experience.

Tery is a Rogue 4/Wizard 5/Arcane Trickster 5. Everything I've read says that this is a good feat for an AT build, so I've taken it for a Wizard, and Wizard is my AT flavour, too.

However, I'm only able to learn spells and have spells-per-day at my combined Wizard-AT levels, ie 10 levels, Level 5 caster. I tried to learn a Level 6 spell today and was told I was not high enough level to do this.

Should I not, with my 4 levels in Rogue and 14 total, be a Level 7 caster? That seems to be what the feat description says.

Anybody have any idea what's going on.
    Cheers,
    Dave

It doesn't give you more spells, it just lets you use the 4 levels to determine spell strength (for damage, duration, that sort of thing)

Exactly! the spell variable is the only thing that changes (i.e. duration and D6 per level). The bug is that it gives you the complete effect without having to take multiclass levels.

To test it cast Haste and it should last 14 rounds
