Well my return may have been postponed.. So far I have managed to locate my original NwN2 disc and cd-key, Storm of Zehir disc and what I think is the cd-key hastily scrawed on a sticky note inside the original games case. But I cannot as of yet locate either my mask of the betrayer disc OR the cd-key.
I was hoping to get on tonight and play but that may not be possible.
I think that if I am able to somehow locate the missing disc and key then I will create 2 characters, firstly Vetris will return, and as roguetree mentioned that vampires are a potential player race then all the more reason to remake him and work towards whatever criteria are needed to allow him to become one.
And secondly I will remake a character that is even older than that, and was in fact born on Sundren as my very first ever character. The stout old grouchy dwarven barbarian Golarg Shalefist.
Of course this is all dependant upon that disc and cd magically reapearing from the depths of my home.
Oh well fingers crossed.
Until I can somehow magically discover, hitherto unknown, skills to make a nice looking sig pic to represent my main chrs -
Managed to find All 3 discs now, but only confirmed cd-key is the original one for NWN2, hastily scrawled cd-key seemed to work for MotB as it allowed the expansion to be installed, however trying to activate it on the bioware forums under my account details comes back invalid, leading me to believe that I must have tried to secure a cd-key off of the internet at some point after losing the original box/manual.
I have managed to find the Storm of Zehir box, but have failed to locate the manual for it, and unfortunately, unlike the original game which had the cd-key printed inside the case, Storm of Zehir must have had the cd-key printed on the back of the manual.
So it looks like I wont be able to join Sundren sadly, I cant afford to re-purchase the game for the sake of 2 missing game manuals/cd-keys. So it looks like I will have to try and nourish my roleplay muse some other way.
All the best,
Delexos.

Well im still playing Brunus and i get plot after plot after plot thrown in my face by players, the DM's and my own hyper active imagination at times. So i pretty much dont need to go looking anymore practically hehe :P
My main grief was paying real money for something I technically have somewhere in this house of mine. especially as there are no real promises that I will actually get myself back into the game again, it has been quite a while after all. Still I looked into it and on D2D.co.uk I found the platinum edition which contains all three titles for around £12 so figured what the hell.
I do have another question now though. Does Sundren require any other ports to be opened besides the standard 5125 port to connect? Only the problem I now find is that I can see Sundren listed in the Roleplay section of gamespy but despite the fact that I can see 5 people on there the server itself does not show a ping to me, unlike some of the others servers in the game spy list, and so every time I try to connect it just fails and tells me it is unable to connect.
Any help and/or advice would be appreciated.

All the ports were posted in the readme, and there are a lot of them... They are as follows.
"V. GameSpy Firewall Ports
When you play on a system that is behind a firewall or proxy, certain ports may need to be opened to connect to multiplayer games. Ports 3658, 3659, 6500 and 27900 may need to be opened so the GameSpy servers can see the game.
Please consult your network administrator or your router manufacturer for information on how to set up these ports. You should also install the latest firmware available for your router from the manufacturer
VI. Opening Ports to Play Behind a Firewall
The following ports may need to be opened for GameSpy servers to see the game: 3658, 3659, 3660, 6500, 27900, 28910
GameSpy Arcade may also need the following TCP ports open in order to function properly:
- 6667 (IRC)
- 3783 (Voice Chat Port)
- 27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
- 28900 (Master Server List Request)
- 29900 (GP Connection Manager)
- 29901 (GP Search Manager)
- 13139 (Custom UDP Pings)
- 6515 (Dplay UDP)
- 6500 (Query Port)
You will also need to open the server port (5121 by default) and the following port for the game stats to be updated correctly: 29920 (Gamestats Server)"
Ummmmmmmm. You shouldn't have to open ANY ports, the ports chipmunk listed above are open ports the server needs to have, not the client.
Unless you have some silly firewall doing outbound filtering (which you shouldn't) then you should be able to connect to the Sundren server.
If it is timing out it may be a bad hop on the internet, you should be able to ping nwn.sundren.org -- if not try opening a command prompt and typing in:
tracert nwn.sundren.org < c:\info.txt
Paste the contents of the info.txt file here
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
The post I quoted came from the NWN2 forums, and came from the manual - about "connecting to multiplayer games".
I know -my- router required some ports to be opened, although I fail to remember which ones. But I do have an over-the-top Fort Knox of internet security going on here.
