I believe the premise here is explained simply enough in the title, as such my question is this:
Is Sundren accepting of new/returning players?
Let me expand upon this, I recieved an email today stating:-
Hello, Delexos!
We've noticed that you've not been active on Sundren Forums for quite some time now, and we miss you!
Could we not tempt you back?
Well, in all honesty my answer would be "Maybe", now when it says "not been active on the forums for quite some time now" they are not joking, I was last active in and around Sundren in November 2007 (according to my last received private message regarding any rp stuff).
However, as of late I have been feeling a little empty on my old 'fun-o-meter' and after the email arrived today reminding me of Sundrens existence a tiny little voice, old and dusty in the back of my mind, started coughing back to life. It introduced itself to me as my rather old and decrpit roleplay muse.
Apparently I have been neglecting my inner roleplayer for the best part of four years and the little voice seems to think that if I perhaps breathe some life into this disused part of me, I shall find some measure of fulfilment once again.
Now the fact that after all these years Sundren is still around and Saulus is still apparently tinkering with it is, in my eyes, completely insane and awesome. However I am reticent to take the initial plunge because, afterall, for Sundren to still be alive after all this time it is highly plausible to assume that the player base is pretty hardcore and devoted to the server, forming ironclad bonds between themselves and making joining in quite a daunting task.
So how are new arrivals treated? are there opportunities to become truly immersed in the world and the goings on of the server? or is it likely that a new player will find that almost everyone around is simply too far out of his league and scope that there is little choice other than to spend the majority of his time living a lonely life?
This entire post is purely conjecture, but I think it is a good way for me to attempt to gauge whether or not I hunt out my NWN2 cd's after all this time or not.
I look forward to the replies and feedback of the community,
Oh and on a side note, does Saulus still entertain the community over voice coms with his guitar?
All the best,
Delexos
