Heh, yeah. That line works every time. Right, blurry?
Also, big fan of the changes, though the improvement of Persistent Spell is curious. Does no one get how ridiculous persistent haste is?
If we feel we need to we can always block haste from being a persistent spell again.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
Sorry for your trepidation, Yevelian. I am willing to hear out your concerns, in PM if you wish to air them. The staff really has put forth a huge effort to discuss and address major issues with fun and balance across the server. Like my associate has said, give these changes a shot.
Very nice job by the staff on this update. The vitality system sounds great. Also, the whole ressurection sickness, although being a nuisance to those who die, is a very good idea. Anything to make dying less appealing is a good thing in my book.

Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! And she gives a mighty bellow: "Brace yourself, oh human speck of dust! You are made of meat and I am very hungry!"
Are there going to be any rest areas scattered around in dungeon areas? Because I'm 100% positive there are areas where it takes so long to get though that even the highest level caster's extended spells will wear off.

Sorry I have to say you made me lol for a second. No there are not going to be any rest areas in dungeons.
Persistent spell, and wands of course will be more useful, and partying with melee who don't rely on spells of course helps.
Unfortunately believe it or not, yes you will probably not have enough spells to remain 100% fully buffed the entire time. But that doesn't mean you will run out of spells either.
These are all things we have considered, please have a bit more faith.

Kudos to this.. I think this is needed it will balance out the power of the classes, Mak it more like PnP play where you cant just rest in the middle of a conflict. I cant wait till these changes take hold.
