  • Encounter Testing - GBX will be going over areas collecting data

Along with the obvious loot from encounters and drops, I'll be going over areas to address concerns of difficulty.

To help facilitate this I may be requesting players to get involved. While level 3 - 5 areas I believe need to be easily soloed, areas above this may need to have parties.

The goal is to work out issues with not only creature difficulty but their party make up. I'm specifically looking to target parties of less power-built concepts.

If you already know issues with areas off the top of your head please let me know in detail. Something like "Mossdale is too hard" doesn't tell me why. I can look at an NPC and say "A fighter should be able to handle this", but knowing if it's the combination of spawns, situations, maybe two spawn groups overlapping, etc, is important.

As I finish the new spawn system I'll need data on these things in order to facilitate the difficulty and reward expected for an area.

I'd like to volunteer my squishy fighter self for this assignment.
    Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.
Daniel Nobody, adventurer and part time problem solver.

I'd like to see less Kazen's spawning. In every area. I'm running out of acid flasks.

If you need a good average build that doesn't shine or suck - I think Jo's a pretty good one.

Let me know if you need her.

Rina is on the stronger side of rogue and may be a decent example to test what a higher end persona can do without the use of magical spell buffs. She also has UMD ability to create situations where some minor enhancements would be desired ( ie what a buffed rogue or fighter could manage) such as mage armors spider skin stoneksin etc Minor Buffs typically cast by mages on respective allies.

In a search for balance my belief is that adventuring parties are desired Not every party should require a mage or cleric to uber tank an area just to survive. Survival should be achievable using tactics such as luring or suprise etc. Allowing classes to be played as designed rather then enforcing situations where every member of the party is simply an extension of the buffs applied by your local mage and it simply becomes a charge in grind fest.

My Sacred Fist, Constantine, is available for the higher end areas if you want someone that has decent combat skills and some decent buffs.
