  • Question: Can you have your own Keep/Dungeon?

Can I build my own keep, haven for undead or anything along those lines? (Assuming I acquire the resources to construct it and the manpower, etc.)

I was thinking of being a Necromancer and having a Undead keep out in the wilds somewhere. I choose its layout, traps, creatures, etc. All based on my skills and what I have access to. Is this doable?

Basically, it becomes a NPC place per say, but one that I set up. I think you can even put my character in NPC mode and you meet him in the final level or something like that.

I doubt that would be possible since it would require a lot of work in and out of game. And of course, if they allow one person to do it, then others will ask as well, granted their proposal is good enough. I'm not a DM or anything its just my opinion. I know they are working on allowing player housing so maybe you could get a small keep? It would cost a crap load though

I've even tossed the idea around of firing up the toolset to make my own keep. But, I will admit the brief look i gave it last night was a bit daunting!

We still haven't decided policy on this but what you spoke of is absolutely out of the question. All areas have to live up to the standards of Sundren and there is a lot of QA work for every area done. On top of that each area we add contributes to the server's max area capacity so we also have to be choosy.

We've been having an internal discussion about how we will allow guild halls or personal interiors and I can guarantee it will cost a minimum of 100,000 gold. The base price will end up being higher more than likely.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
