I'm aware, should be up sometime today.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

      Always on my day off.

      Le sigh.

and the circling is worth it, finding beauty in the dissonance.

On the plus side, my doing actual things productivity has increased by several hundred percent.

On a tangent - Bullpup crossbows. Odd.

Well It gave me a chance to get some of my song writing done, so in a way I guess it was a good thing.

Yup...7:45pm and ye olde call to adventure is unanswered...*grunt*

While on the subject...Sundren is the closest in 15 years I've come to playing PnP D&D on the 'puter...don't know how you guys did it, but each corner turned is better than the last...no patterns, nothing anticipated, everything's real and edgy....it's a hoot.

This sim is trying to kill my character...and that's just how it should be.

I enjoy roleplaying out the real life of an adventuring Ranger, and Sundren is a highpoint of many attempts.

                Thanks.

Only one quibble...randomized spawn points would create new risk...thou the way Sundren beasties are so motivated and intelligent makes you forget they pop out of the woodwork at the same trigger each visit...plus, the timed events are terriblly random.

Tales of Moonsea offers an interesting take on spawns.
What happens when a PC explores an average area?
                Nothing...
After 20 mins of hunting about, one might see a bunny pop out of a hole...a deer grazing in the distance.
Looking for trouble...and all you get is a cool breeze in the face...
Unless you chance too close to a goblin hideout...where they repeatedly show up behind you by surprise, sniping arrows with great precision.
Beasties often appear useing cover...very close to heavily colored, thick terrain...so that they are hard to see even with excellent Tracking and Spot.

You have to invest yourself before anything happens...if at all...but when a couple of hours is spent in an active area, events ramp up...that spot in the sewers where the beatles and goblins were liviing before they met you 40 mins ago...a phase spider moved in...a week later in the same spot, a pair of Giant Spiders wander.

Leave an area and the clock restarts for the most part...you have to seek before you find.

With this downtime, I have figured out how to use the toolset.

I did not just make a hot pink snow leapord, totally did not. Nope.

                  ^_^

Your first animal is pink leopard print, and your DM avatar is a hooker elf. Is your real name Porsche or Chastity by chance?
