  • Crafting possibilities

Hello, I would like to ask about crafting, what is or is not possible. I try to be brief.

    1. is it possible to change color by existing item?
    - example: I bought an armour in standard shop and now I want it to be green instead of pink
    2. is it possible to add enchantments to existing things?
    - example: I want my pink shield to be +2 instead of +1
    3. is it possible to rename existing item pernamently?
    - example: my shield is labeled as "Big Pink Thing" and I wanted to rename it to "Big Green Thing"

And it is meant by PC crafters, not for examle with the help of DM. Thanks for answers.

    1. There is no way to change the appearance of an existing item, something purchased in the store will remain looking that way.

    2. Yes, mages/clerics with the appropriate feats and skills can enchant items - There is a maximum of three enchantments on an item.

    3. Yes, when an item is enchanted you can rename it.
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

I know, that the appearance change is not possible, so if I would like to change only the color of the item (not the shape), would that be the same as changing appearance? That's unclear here for me. Thanks.

Unfortunately no. The color and appearance of existing items cannot be changed in-game.

However, the winner of the RP Player of the Month is able to have an item replaced by an item with customised appearance/color and the same properties.

This is a particular problem with dwarven PC's, as the armor models can differ significantly from the human ones. This means a number of store-bought items can look a bit odd. The Orcs are even worse off, in my opinion.

The best way to avoid "Pink Armor Syndrome" is to have your gear custom-made rather than waste scarce coin on store stuff. Feel free to Tell me in-game if you need any assistance.
