  • Use of Roleplay Central Forum

If I read a post in the Roleplay Central Forum (or for that matter, the Rumours Forum), is it legitimate to then refer to the contents in-game? As an example, Tery Mard advised Sita to report Xaayne's attack on them to the authorities. Having read the reports in the "Report to Immunes Torgar Stoutlef" thread, is it OK for Tery to commend the sisters next time he sees them for following his advice?

I've never been completely sure about this. Thanks in advance for any advice.
    Cheers,
    Dave

Absolutely - if your character can conceivably know about whatever is happeneing, (i.e. a letter addressed to you, a rumor, a poster hung up, etc.) then you can certainly respond IG - that's part of the point of the Roleplay forums

As Equinox says, if there is a legitimate reason for having the knowledge, then you can obtain it.

In the case of the reports though your character Tery would need to either have been shown the report prior to it being sent in, be of a reasonable level in the Legion or have been shown the reports by Torgar or a Legion officer.

The Legion aren't going to allow reports on people to be general public knowledge, after all, until they are acted upon and verified by the Legion then they are really only rumours.
It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little - Do what you can.

Thanks. That clears up a bit of a grey area, for me anyway.
