What? I don't understand how it would close the server off to new characters.

In any case, it isn't really feasible because of animal companions/summons. Even if a player maintained great command discipline over the pet, the summon still can't be controlled to attack specific targets.

What would this change anyway? It takes one second to set somebody to hostile with the context menu. Not much of an obstacle if you want to attack somebody without a warning.

Opening the player window and setting everyone hostile just seems to be less trouble.
