  • Good vs Lawful

For RP purposes I'm interested in understanding more than is in the Wiki about the difference. As an example, when I completed the rings quest in the Valley Road tombs, I returned the rings to the Museum. IIRC my alignment was adjusted one point toward Lawful.

First, I'm not disputing the shift. That's the designer's choice.

But I wonder why it would be Lawful instead of Good, or perhaps both Lawful and Good. I can see that the alternate choice (selling the rings) would be Chaotic. It clearly wouldn't be Evil, though, unless there is more to the rings than is described.
    Cheers,
    Dave

Apples and oranges. I didn't make the quest though.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

The only way you can take big hits in sundren is by partaking in DM run events; The goodies quartermaster is normally pretty harsh is you widely outstep your character's persona.

I took a ten point shift once with Percy when I watched my companions get slaughtered by a vampire. Wasnt much point me attacking to be fair with my measly 1D6 shortsword and a handfull of journeymen traps ~ damn those undead
