  • Orcs Unite! Goretusk tribe looking for more urks!

Ever feel like just running around beating the crap out of anyone that doesn't look like you? Ever want to put those repugnant, arrogant, silly elves in their place? Then roll an orc and join the Goretusk Tribe! Grey orcs welcomed, half-orcs tolerated!

Trying to get a decent number of urks IG to do orcy things, like raid, pillage, and grab territory. "Anderson Act" orc wimps need not apply! This is for real, dirty, awesome, strong, and evil orcs who want to reclaim the land as Gruumsh intended.

Goretusk is a *Gruumsh worshipping tribe.* To be accepted by the tribe, player orcs must at least pay lip-service to Gruumsh and acknowledge him as the strongest god around. If not, the tribe leader and/or clergy will beat you until you repent. If that doesn't happen soon enough, you will be killed as an example of Gruumsh's wrath.

Understand that orc life is violent and intolerant. There will be a lot of abuse until you are proven worthwhile to the tribe, and will always be lorded over by those stronger than you. Clerics of He-Who-Never-Sleeps get the most respect, second only to the orc in charge (and the chief listens to the clergy very carefully). Once it has proven that you can fill a niche in the tribe, whether it be as a warrior, scout, or clergy, things get more friendly....until someone shows weakness.

Speaking of weakness, women are welcomed, but expect to be treated as property and little to no say in tribe business, as least directly (sorry ladies!).

Half-orcs are welcome, but understand that you will be treated as only slightly better than the evil elves/humans/dwarves until it's proven that you can contribute to the tribe.

The goal of the tribe is to be as lore-correct for the everyday orc as possible, and to spread some chaos and violence around Sundren. This will add excitement for everyone, and make you fat civilized folk think twice about wandering the wilderness alone.

So stop reading this post, start up NWN, connect to Sundren, and select "Create New Character" now! You won't regret it (much).

We'll see about Hel' joining ya. After a certain amount of repeated mistreatment from supposedly good civilised humans, she's feeling less and less inclined to constantly risk her life for them.

The whole faith thing is still a problem, though. I mean we both remember what happened last time you tried to make her acknowledge Gruumsh as stronger than the Great Wyrm. :P
Running across the mountains, attacking with an oversized scalpel, cometh Helga Great-Wyrm! And she gives a mighty bellow:
"Brace yourself, oh human speck of dust! You are made of meat and I am very hungry!"

Ur'Grak isn't in charge this time, Root. Now it's an orc that is actually built to be more of a leader--Ur was never intended to get a tribe going, that's just how the cards fell. Besides, Ur had a whopping charisma of 6 and didn't even have the muscle to scare orcs in line. Kraz't Goretusk should be better able to at keeping your bastard wench half-orc in line

While the tribe primarily follows Gruumsh, not all orcs are wild fanatics. Worshippers of other orc gods are welcome, but they *will* acknowledge Gruumsh as the most powerful, and will do whatever is needed of them in the name of Gruumsh. Lip-service is okay, just keep your character's heretic-ness to himself and you won't be shown Gruumsh's anger.

I have no problems with Helga not renouncing her faith, btw. Orcs hate other tribes that worship different gods, or even the same gods but in different ways. I wholly support your dedicated RP, but Kraz't may deem you a heretic and an enemy of the tribe, depending how our encounter goes.

Also, for you nature folks, Talos will be considered the same as Gruumsh, and Malar is considered an ally. As long as you're not an orc worshipping Silvanus

It goes how it goes. And I'm looking forward to it.
