    Forum Instability

    Okay, tried looking around for this to be mentioned, but it seems to be quiet at the moment.

    After a day or so of being down, the forums seem to be up with some stuff missing, like we've restored at an earlier date.

    (Or indeed travelled back in time)

    Is it assumably safe now, or is this kind of thing likely to happen often?

    My guess would be some things got lost in moving the forums and other web stuff to the new server. It almost always happens. I'd say it is pretty safe now that the move is complete (as long as the move is complete ).

      The server and the forum are only as stable as it's most stable player... in other words, since we're all gaming geeks... it's doomed!

        I had the server moved from Texas (which the particular datacentre had a shit network) to Atlanta which is a much more stable network.

        It was supposed to be seamless but the webplatform caused some grief. Everything is complete now.
        The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.
