  • Request Overload

So I've been getting a massive amount of requests over the past few days I've been online. I do like helping you guys out, and I want you guys to make requests, but don't make them to just me.

There is a character request forum for all your requesting needs. Want to play an assassin? Make a character request. Want to quest for some rare object? Make a character request. Perhaps you want to know more about a certain faction? Character request.

I don't mind answer questions, but I am by no means the lore-keeper of everything that exists on Sundren, and furthermore, a lot of these requests are things the whole staff has to see. I, alone, cannot always judge what is worthy and what is not. Today alone I have gotten over 6 complicated requests in the first hour online. I can't handle it all. I'm not the only DM around, either.

Questions, comments, or concerns? I'll be happy to answer in game so long as I am not engaged. But if its something that can impact other characters or the server, if its something that requires a quest, or if it's just something that may be complicated please make a Character Request. Not only can the whole staff than see what you intend, but the requests will be down permanently somewhere where they can be reviewed at leisure, and I or another DM can pick them up when we have time or inclination.

Also: Bugs. If you see a problem somewhere, make a bug report. I don't know every issue in the game, nor can I fix many problems in game. Ask if you like, but if its something complicated or weird, I'm going to refer you to the bug forum, anyway.

    Thanks for your understanding. =)

No, don't ask if you like about the bug, don't even talk about bugs while on the server. If you do, it will be absolutely ignored.

Put it in the bug forum or don't talk about it at all.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

That because you are the bomb Phil....

Oh and Santa Phil, I would like a sword of uber power, err 2 swords, ring of invisibility, pouch of never ending diamonds, oh and a pouch of never ending brilliant essences, and ......

...Oh and a horse, not because I want one, just to piss off others

      Your the best,
      Elandra, Yodgum and Ash
Elandra: A former Red Blade, now roams the wilderness with the Lone wolf as her guide
Alexandra: Ever faithful (just shy of a Zealot)
Yodglum: May Kossuth's flame light your way and burn those in it!
Ash: Dusty old miner of still looking for the "mother load" on Exigo's stag

Shaving kittens: not an official sport, but fun just the same

Don't be silly. You'd get too big of a penalty on your off hand. You need a sword of uber damage and a kurki of uber damage.

I guess that is why DMs are evil, if they try to be good this is what they get

I've been noticing more requests lately which is great, however, I would like to make a suggestion.

When making a request, whatever it may be, try to be as thorough as possible with regards to what exactly you want and, more importantly, how you are going about trying to achieve what you are requesting. Many people simply say things like "I'm looking for [insert rare object here]!" but then don't say how they are looking for it. While I am capable of some amount of improvisation, ideas about your plan of action can really go a long way toward getting your request noticed and addressed.
