Seasword problem

Been runnin around on this ship for the last half hour trying to complete the quest: Exotic Cargo. Examined every inch of the ship, opened every chest, touched every interactable object and talked to all npc's aboard and nothing.

Is something bugged about this quest or do i need to search harder?

exotic cargo is where you have to catch the Stirge. And there is a cage you need to place it in.

Sometimes the stirge doesn't spawn.
