yup, im sick of seeing elves maxed out in their tallness, and then in their description they're 5'8? >.>, normal height is fine people, maybe for elves if you wana make them human height a bit bigger.
Despite the fact that I'd love to see a half-orc max scaled then Enlarged, I'm going to have to say Obsidian failed on this concept. What they really needed to do was give us the option to manipulate the body type. Options such as overweight, skinny, buff, average, short, tall or obese (constitution modifier here) would have been much more functional, if not add significantly more flavor and realism to the game. People are not always oversexed and perfectly pristine. I can also appreciate the amount of work it would take to add models/maniuplate existing models to change in those respects. But I would wait for it if they took the time to do it right.

You aren't half kidding. I think a little bit can look good - a shorter elf, a tiny bit more slender. But some of the looks people are sporting are -awful-
It is a stupid system, but the thing that's even more stupid is that the slider position doesn't go up in small enough increments for it to be useful. This may be a factor in why there's so many characters that are insanely tall or short or whatever. There's a huge jump between 'normal' height and the next size up. Same for girth. In the toolset, it'd be fine, 'cause it's in %, correct? If so, I see its relevance there. But the sliders..... stupid stupid.
Also, the height slider doesn't match the girth slider. As in, you can put the height slider up one notch, but putting the girth slider up one notch to match makes the character look too wide. So you have to increase the height of your character to compensate.

A whole lotta people would, but Atari won't. Besides, OE is working with a skeleton crew on the patches, so we probably aren't going to see major additions/changes until an expansion comes out. And even then I don't think they're willing to overhaul the character model system.

Man I haven't even finished the official campaign yet and everyone's hypothesizing about an expansion. That's one fine behind on your signature banner, by the way.

I think there's a pretty good chance there will be an expansion, though I don't know if it will necessarily be made by Obsidian.
And the fine behind is courtesy of Luis Royo, he draws fine everything.

It's also a rather primitive way of controlling models. There are other systems that let you make a character model taller without necessarily stretching the head, for instance.
