If you are a Baneite Cleric who has proven themselves a dedicated servant of Bane and successfully completed (those who don't succeed, don't get the class) a task, or series of tasks, to get the PRC unlocked, you have access to Dreadmaster and, once you have progressed to level 15, get one cohort/companion and one summon, for a total of two active minions at one time. Yet another place I see the evil getting the upper "black" hand... sorry couldn't resist the pun.

Just thought I'd set your quote a little straighter there, just to clear it up a little.

I have always been a fan of the more general PRCs myself. They allow for greater variation and thus interest for me. While I believe there are places for specific even faction related PRCs, it is nice to have a counter part.

I can think of 2 other classes that get 2 summons right off the bat - druid and ranger. I'd hardly say they're "OP".

Or any cleric with the animal domain.

oh well I was under the impression that dreadmaster received two cohorts and a summon,

allowing for a total of three "buddies" apparently I misread.

I was referring to classes with more than one cohort if this is not the case disregard my post.
