  • Clean up after yourself plz

I've been noticing lots of loot bags left around areas such as the sewers and the hills. I know picking up the ears and scales is annoying but the extra loot bags add to server lag and we all know no one likes lag. So this is just a little reminder to clean the messes you make.

Not needed... server will auto cleanup this stuff if people leave an area anyway.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

      This gets reported quite often.

Sundren has many scripts that deal with cleaning up loot bags and the like after a period of time.

While I appreciate the intention of this post I have to point out that Loot Bags DO NOT cause server lag.

The system works by checking periodically if people are in the area. If no one is it cleans up the area. The reason it was done this way is the following:

        1) Less resource intensive than checking each individual loot bag's time it's been laying there.
        2) People might take forever to loot something or someone might come behind them and loot what is there.
        3) People drop items to manage bags and other reasons, so we don't want to clean these up unless they are left there intentionally.

If you see loot bags or loot containers that have garbage in them, chances are the person who left them is either still in the area or left not long ago. There is absolutely no reason you have to manually clean up these items.
