Wait... which one? The one about... you killin' me?

Maybe you won't if I... give you some chocolate ice cream?

Look, folks, in real Dungeons and Dragons you don't go around 'searching' for artifacts, nor do you simply ask, 'Oh, sir dwarf, could you forge me a +5 Shocking Keen Longsword?' A mastercraft item is good enough for most.

          Not true Ethereal, some do.

But if they were ever in a game I'd be running there would be a great chance they would end up as a pile of ash soon after.

Edit: This post is meant as a joke. I do not seriously think people should ask for magic items like that. It's a bit greedy in my opinion.

Searching for an artifact is not a process of asking a few folks, 'Hey, do you have a +5 Amulet of Will?' or somesuch. It generally is the pivotal point of at the very least a small, difficult dungeon plot or somesuch.

Did I mention Sundren seems pretty low magic?

            Yeaaah.

I've been RPing asking Kalaryia Fatari, the elven owner of Thrifty Hides, about a +1 equivalent enchantment (twilight) on my armor as she sells +1 armor already... but sounds like it's not going to happen.
PC - Corwin Eska'las (Sun Elf pursuing the dream of becoming a Bladesinger)

Alt PC - Brevin Smoothands (meticulously groomed half orc bard swashbuckler... sort of... sings great, less fighting)

How does one go about getting the "personalized look" for their armor? I haven't even seen anything in game to compare ordinary armor to save what other people have had made to suit their person.
