Client and Server Version do not match?

I've tried for the last twenty minutes or so to connect but for some reason I can't. At first I tried the direct connect and it looked like it connected just fine then when it came time for my character to log in it knocked me back to windows. It did that several times befoe I tried connecting the regular way, not direct connect and the server was grayed out. It stated that the server and client were not the same version. So I tried the updater and that didn't do anything then tried to update the game and I have the current version. Anything I can do other than reinstall the game?

Well, version mismatches like that should only happen if the server is running on a different patch than yours. Were any 'hotfixes' to the recent large patch released in the past few days? If so your version might be too high.

If not.. reinstall I'm afraid.

You're probably trying to join the dev server, no clue why... Direct connect is nwn.sundren.org

If he was, wouldn't he be getting a password request before even trying to make a connection?

Also, when updating, be sure that you have the full release of the latest patch, and not the beta patch. If you have the beta, the update won't work even if a newer one is availible, and you'll need to either reinstall or downgrade.

It did ask for a password. I have numbers in my direct connect. I'll try the nwn.sundren.org. thanks

This was a case of joining the wrong server. Please note the server when passworded is in red, and will say "Sundren.org PROTOTYPE". Also if you find any links to nwn2.sundren.org please let me know, that is old info.

I have updated the wiki and main site already with "nwn.sundren.org" and that is what everyone needs to use if not finding us on the gamespy list, thanks.
