Everything's all jerky

Is anyone else having the problem where everything is all jerky when your character or anyone elses' in your sight moves?

Makes my eyes hurt just watching it, and I sat through Cloverfield with only getting dizzy once.

Sounds like a setting gone astray or you might need to turn off that automatic Vista defragging or sumin.

Dont have this problem personally, might want to try AusLogic's defragger which is freely available on the web. consistant jerkiness normally means a lot is being loaded from the HDD so you might need a defrag or more allocated RAM to take the strain off the disk. Just my two cents (CAD)!

I went on for a short bit yesterday and suddenly thought how my graphics in game looked amasingly sharp compared to usual. Everything just seemed better. Maybe it's just that I haven't been on for a week or so and my brain was just loving it too much.

Sersiously though. While it seems to have been a bit laggier than normal recently, it's nowhere near as bad as you describe on my end.

This is a familiar pattern I believe, and generally has at least what seems to be a correlation to Schild Mountain and people killing Veritas. Spawning and engaging that mountain causes quite bad lag. A group of 3-4 people there always seems to be going on whenever the server is suffering with the 1 second delay or "jerky" syndrome. And at least in the times that I've checked the lag hasn't receded until the server reset, even if the group leaves the mountain.

Just my haunting suspicion.. are there any special resourses that it takes to spawn or AI that is ran on the Veritas goons as opposed to the lesser areas?

This happens when you alt-tab in full-screen. Not always though... I believe NWN2 has a memory leak so it doesn't start happening until you've had the game on for awhile, or other resources running in the background. Restarting your client will fix it, but if you alt-tab again it will come back. Restarting your computer should allow you to alt-tab without getting the jerkiness, but after awhile it will come back again. Safest bet, of course, is either to not alt-tab, or to not have NWN2 in full-screen.

only issue I had is it said I was missing hak 71 so re-downloading files at work so can play .
