Hey Firechicken, did you have a mage imbue your bow permanently, as in they enchanted it like a sword or other weapon, or is it something a druid or such put a non-persistent spell on?

Also, Kael, maybe you can answer this - does this mean I can have my bow enchanted by a mage or cleric or some such, say with electrical damage and then all the arrows I shoot out will have electrical damage?

      Yup, that should work.

Firechicken has a crafter character, he enchanted the bow to do +1d6 fire damage on arrows like you do with an enchanted sword or whatever.

It's a sick bow. When his character equips it the whole bow is in flames!

Sounds like you're splitting hairs to me . That said, I've noticed their priceyness in the past but don't play archers personally. Reading the above, the solution sounds like enchanted bow + normal arrows, and fancy ones for epic battles. What's wrong with a bendy stick, some string and a few sharpened twigs anyway?

i wondered about this bit.. how the heck do they just KNOW you have a spell effect. unless they have detect magic and they are concentrating... oh but then there are the visual effects. which i guess everyone can see. theif mentioned this... sorry for the double post.

Yes all enemies are Heirophants and have the magic attuned feat now; just a head up for the next time you fight an enemy that dispells you! Said creature has an INT score of 3, but who cares... 3 int is still an intelligent creautre right?

I'll just chip in with this: I've never had any problems managing with Maia regarding arrows. Buying arrows never made me broke - I buy the creature-slaying arrows at Sureshot which are worth 6gp a stack and every cartel opponent I dropped gave 20+ gp (in 5 arrows?). I see the cost for those as trivial.

I've never went and bought the Wracking arrows Bullseye offers at the Ranger outpost, though I figured that eventually, once I'd have nothing else to spend on other than better arrows, that I would.
