Barkskin lasts twice as long as my stack of arrows or heal kits!

I dont know if prices have changes since Ive been away but Heal kits and arrows were always costly. When I return to Sundren I need to rank up my DWS levels so my ranged sneak attacks reduce my arrow consumption!!

    I have a Fighter/Bard/<Blackguard
    and a Rogue/Fighter
:both of which are much lower maintainance than my ranger

Not if the effects get constantly dispelled by the enemy.

Excuse me; I havnt been a player since SoZ so I have yet to see these dispell effects. Perhaps Ill think differently when I come back... hopefully sometime within the next month or so!

It's been a change in the AI scripts from Obsidian. If there is anything to dispel and an NPC has a spell memorized, he'll try to do it.

Do the enemies roll spellcraft checks to see if there is anything TO be dispelled or is this all NPC knowledge on their behalf?

That being said: I want NWN's counterspelling back! Its a D&D mechanic that has been around for more than a decade...

Enough derailing the topic, I apologise... thief over and out!

Thanks guys, I'll look into the monsters.

In the meantime, let me remind SOME of you *ahem* to please be kind in your posting tones. I don't think anyone was trying to be "funny" with toning up those sad Ancient Dead, but rather offer a challenge.

If we missed the mark, it's OK to report it in a constructive manner. Thanks for understanding.

Bows can't be enchanted at all yet.

Yes they can Kaeldron. Or are we not supose to? I made one that does fire damage for my mage.

You can actually inbue a bow so that is shoots fire arrows and how long does it last or can it be permanent. If you shoot from it, do all normal arrows become fire arrows or if you shoot a magical arrow, do you get its effects plus the fire?

Anyway, to point, I do suggest cheaper arrows, but that is up to the DMs.

I think you can ask just about any ranger and it becomes expensive as an archer.

                        Thanks for listening.

Oh, ok. Must be a change in the script files/2da's from SoZ then. I really thought it wasn't possible pre-SoZ at least.

If you can enchant them.. then the point is pretty much moot? Even now you're not missing anything compared to a melee fighter if you use just one elemental enchantment. Any damage the arrows add on top of that is icing on the cake. Luxury rather than necessity.

I will ask a druid friend to buff my bow and see what happens. If this is true, then yes, it is a moot point and I withdraw my comment.

                            Thanks for listening though!

Everytime I use my encahnted bow it does the fire damage that I wanted. All arrows do fire.

Thats pretty good since all us archers do more attacks per round than melee fighters!
