    I'm in a forest away from everyone rite now and I was thinking about something. For Druid's/Ranger or anyone who stays in the woods a lot, I think it would be help full and kind of cool if you could buy/make a tent that you could set up where ever you wanted (only in the woods really) so that if you needed you could set up camp and rest and stay out in the woods for longer periods of time.
    I was just thinking.

    Actually, while I don't think you can make a tent, you can make a fire with the flint sold in the Exigo Trading House.

    I could be wrong though

      No, the flint system was never fully implemented because I ran into an Obsidian bug that would basically mean you can't see the fire effect for fires if you started it then someone else joined the area.

      Annoying.
      The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

          hmm that sucks. So when a visial effect is added to something it only works to those CURRENTLY in the area?

          But a place able is still a place able? If so this tent idea would be possible with its own self distruct built in?

          void main ()
          {
          int iLength;
          object oMakie =GetItemActivated();
          locatoin lMakehere= GetItemActivatedTargetLocation();
          string sWhatmake =GetResRef(oMakie);

          iLength =GetStringLength(sWhatmake) -1;

          sWhatmake = GetStringLeft(sMessage, iLength);

          iLength = StringToInt(GetStringRight(sWhatmake, 1);

          object oMakeDestroy =CreateObject (iLength,sWhatmake,lMakehere);

          DestroyObject(oMakeDestroy, 60.0f);

          }

          //that work? just put a reserf of the item to make with a 1 in front if I have my mind right...head cold make me funny.

            Gah! I'm starting to think i'm the only person on this server who doesn't now anything on, C++ or any programming >_>

            I was on a little test module my bud made, and they had a bedroll system, you rolled it out and that was the only way to rest... IT made it more realistic.

                Yeah, you coudl do a tent esque thing easily enough I think. you could go the lazy way and give players an item that summon a friendly tent monster that doesnt move. use option two on the item to kill it. Shrug

                then again our dms are apparently pretty busy so I wouldnt bother them about it all juuuust yet.

                  I would like it to be like you have to buy like sticks and cloth and you can have differnt kinds of cloth and diffrent size of tents. So you can buy one pre-made or make one.

                    i would love to be able to have a camp out in the wild. my friend and i have a pair of characters in mind that are very hard to play in sundren. waht with having to rely on towns and military encampments. anyway it would involve a ton of work and i expect nothing... just know that i am interested as well.

                      I believe that one was already classified as being a lot more trouble than it's worth, causing lag, causing issues with placeable placement, the correct binding of scripts to the spawned object, and some stuff that's just a pain to script, and whatnot. Not sure if it actually made it on the dead horse list or not

                      There are a few, sparse, preset camp sites in the Viridale and elsewhere.

                        The camps are well placed already; Ive seen these placeable campsites work before though!

                        Moonlight & Shadows, TKL & TFR all have placeable campsites in their DMFI tool at the top corner..
