  • Hair extensions allowed in overrides

    Suggestion:
I happen to like the hair extension pack and would have liked to be able to use it. Would it please be possible for Sundren's staff to allow the use of these appearance overrides for their Persistent World and eventually fix the file offered in the FAQ accordingly?

Additionally note, I've noted that the Hair Extension overrides seem to function better when in their own folder (overrides/Hair Extensions). I've tested them on my end along with the other overrides Sundren allows and once I added the folder, the added hairstyles seemed to work very well.

So, may I appeal upon you to allow its use, please?

That's the Sundren appearance override file I was referring to. It was already available in the site's FAQ section, so, I knew about it before I made this thread.

When creating a moon elf female, if you click the left arrow on the hairstyles starting at the standard NWN2 ponytail hairstyle, you go through the 3 MaeBe hair models, then the 5 fine close-cropped hairstyle that look vaguely oriental, then a long ponytail (which turns out ingame to be hairstyle 80 of the hair extension hak) and twin pigtails, then two below-the-shoulder hairstyle (curly silky hair and a wild mane of hair), then you get three clicks "in the air" as there are apparently 3 hairstyles who's models cannot be shown properly, then 2 wild elf hairstyles and finally MaeBe's hairstyles again before getting to the bald hairstyle and then NWN2's default hairstyles.

What I'm aiming for with this suggestion thread is to have styles 80, 81 and 82 of the hair extension override files allowed in Sundren for character creation purposes. That's all, really. Otherwise, my tests revealed in-game that even if I take the hair extension away from my override folder, the long-hair-with-sidebraids hairstyle I gave my test character shows adequately so far.

That part above makes me a little confused. Did Sundren already have an appearance hak used for its NPCs which wasn't available to players and the override hak unlocked some of them? I expected people to see my test character as bald and I gave this a whirl and they saw her just fine.

Hence, I'm puzzled, but I'm still certain the hair extension hairstyles weren't available on character creation. The point of the thread is just allowing to make them 'legal', really.

Your saying these styles already exist on the three clicks 'in the air' that dont show on character creation?
