  • Repeating quest

I know there a repeating quest in the hills, which i think is rather cool but here an idea. I know Signus are rare through out sundren, they are given out at events sometimes or they can .001% drop from a creature. Here my idea, what if the two were combined.

Now i know the one in the hill is a once a day thing, i would have to guess it would be for the person that triggers it. What if you guys did the same thing somewhere else (Say Necropolis) where they would have to go to the top floor to face say a blackguard or something. The quest could be set up for a once a week. It would be intended for higher level characters anyway (Sense the zone for Necropolis is level 10 unless they follow which the lowest i think you want bring is 7). This in terms would be rewarding toward higher level characters as a mare death can almost erase a whole level and after 15, all the exp they earn is basicly events.

(Reason for this is because some DM's dont hand out Signus and this could in term replace it.)

There is already a repeatable (daily) quest for level 15s and higher. Granted, no signus reward like mentioned. I don't like the idea of farming signuses though, so it's kind of 'eh'.

Maybe a kind request to DMs to not forget our signus needs?

I agree that people having the opportunity to farm signuses is an icky idea. They should be given out much in the same way the RPTOM is, except without the voting. DM notices (either in an event or out of one) that a certain player is doing a good job of role playing and hands out the signus as a reward.

Maybe every once in a while, drop one (or maybe even a few) on an event player (or, in the case of multiples, party).

Or do nothing different. What's the worst that could happen?

Techniclly, its once per server reset, not once per day. It was decided not to touch real time mechanics in regards to these quests, becuase that would involve storage on the database, where a once per reset ignores external information methods due to the fact that a server reset deletes local variables.

In Layman's terms, making a quest once per week is a billion times more complicated then a "once per day" quest. *winks*

I have to know, DeathRose52? Have you been drinking? This post is not like your normal articulate well thought out posts. You really rambled and got sidetracked, and forget to mention that you'd like to see a repeat quest give out a Signus. (Though I'm assuming thats what you want because you spoke of them at the very beginning and the end of the topic)

No Sean, it the lack of sleep. I normaly get somewhere between 6 to 8 hours of rest and stay up for 20 hours before crashing. Haha.

But ya, i was thinking that perhaps it set up on the 'restart server' crap. I know people said they didn't like the idea of people farming them but that is why i stated a week time apart from doing the quest.
Some people, like Vader, die every few times a day. Though for someone like me, i die rarely but i found myself dead twice in the last three days. I been around, what 9 months and i have in my whole life seen two signus drops and been given two. I have in that time, on Varn alone, died at lest ten times yet i'm still level 12 because the death have happen when i was around level 10. Them some big ol EXP hits.
I just wish there was a way, you could come back without such big hits (Beside someone dragging you to the temple, which happens anyway after level 12) or the Rare Signus.

Well, it's a good suggestion. Perhaps I can have the 2 high end repeat quests have a 10-15% chance of dropping a signus.

Putting a guaranteed signus anywhere would cause farming and cheeze tactics, so I doubt there would ever be a 100% signus for a repeat quest.

Can anyone confirm that the Level 10-15 repeat quest actually fires? I know the conversation works now, but has anyone actually made it to, and beaten, the Skullcrusher Clan?

Regardless, you'll probably have to be patient a while. With my work schedule, school schedule, wife, child, social life (yes I have one, though its mostly at the bar)... what I can do for Sundren is limited.

Adding to that equation, there is the general push to finish all the Faction Join Quests and stores (1 of the last 3 things to be done before BETA ends), and that my personality is in conflict with most of the staff ( poor guys ), which causes NOTHING to get done at all, ...

Where was I? Oh yes, you may have to be quite patient before you actually see something like this go in.

You mean there are other members of staff? Where are these mythical beings?

They live on inside of each and every one of us.
