  • Bone Chainmail

Any chance of getting that Bone Chainmail that you can get from the goblin chieftain put on the special "druid allowed list". I remember from the Druid Armour post that certain armour can be adjusted individually to be able to allow druids to wear them and it just makes sense that even those this armour is "Medium" it is also not made of Metal, so by your standard PnP ruling that druids can't wear metal armour they should be able to wear chainmail made of bone.

    Just a thought.

It depends. On female characters I've noticed it looks rather leathery, but on males it's almost entirely chain.

Also, the 'druid allowed list' is built on armor base types, and chainmail/chain shirt is definitely a metal base type, regardless of the visuals. I think the allowed types are cloth, padding, leather, studded leather and hides. Chain shirts, while light, have been removed from that list for obvious reasons.

I haven't seen a post that said individual armour pieces could be changed to 'druid allowed'. If you have a link to it I'll withdraw the above statement
Wooden plate and splint armour could be implemented as a new base type, that could be worn by druids for sure.

Yeah, but server rule states all medium or heavy armor....

Of course that includes Hide too, so I wonder....

I thought Sean added something to make any armor described as natural to be druid friendly. Bone Links should be OK.

        Have you tried it?

Specific DM made armors can bypass this rule.
@Kaeldorn: There is your quote Kaeldorn it's from one of Sean's posts. Meaning if a DM can modify it, it could clearly be modified in the toolset too. Also it was pointed out before that the reason for making the druid armour rules was because druids are not suppose to wear metal. It says in the description of the armour I am speaking of that it is made from a bunch of little bones ... which means not metal. It is a natural armour made from natural material. So naturally (pun ) it makes sense that a druid should be able to wear it.

@nickbeat: I haven't but someone else who did reported it didn't work on druids. The Bonk studded leather works fine but not the Chainmail one

I'm betting they didn't actually equip bone links. They'd know right away that it and the other 'Natural' armors don't hurt druids (coral, bone, hides, wood, etc)
