  • Noticing your place

This is just a suggestion for the Sundren community as a whole, as I know we have added a slew of new players to the ranks recently. This is in no way a criticism on anyone who may or may not have done this in the past, because I know I am at least guilty of it once or twice. It is simply a reminder, that's all.

Remember that your level, while not entirely important when RP'ing, does matter when traveling through areas that spawn creatures. The higher level you are, the more and meaner spawns are summoned. While this just means a little more of a challenge for you, it does mean certain doom and death to those lower levels making their way around to collect items for a quest or somesuch. Getting caught in the crossfire is simple, and it happens all too easily.

And so, I plead with you, whether you are a level 9 player walking around the Sharahan Hills, or a level 15 around the Viridale, to just pay attention to what you spawn. If the spawn blocks the only exit, just take a moment to clear it out for whomever may decide that finally, after a long time they are able to handle the Ogre caves and decide to test the waters only to have themselves killed in a few rounds. Just take the time to look around, that's all.

*disclaimer: This in no way reflects on any specific actions taken by the players, it's just something that I see from time to time.
    Characters:
Peridan Twilight, one-eyed dog of the Legion, deceased.
Daniel Nobody, adventurer and part time problem solver.

    [DM] Poltergeist :
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge an intermediate deity's unbridled fury.
