  • Missing Monk Abilities

There are two Monk abilites that were left out of the NWN2 Game.

Abundant Step: Allows the Monk to use Demension Door once per day at 12th level.

Tongue of the Sun and Moon: Allows the monk to speak with any living creatrue (That is just cool as hell).

Are either of these worth the effort to implemet in game?
    Byrun - Wandering Swordsman
Falrenn Silvershade - Shaper of Truths

If you're searching the lines for a point
    Well, you've probably missed it
    There was never anything there
    In the first place

    Wax Fang - Majestic

Abundant Step: Eventually, I don't see why not.

Tounge : I don't even want to take responsibility for languages, not in the forseeable future by my hand.

I thought to pop in and say that since there's propably only one or two active level 12+ monks, one way to temporarily solve this thing is to give them token item with 1/day dimensional tool ability.

Of course as feat it'd be "cooler" when your character doesn't extend the arms and all when using the skill.

I roleplayed Tongue of the Sun and Moon in another server where I had epic monk who was able to only speak Japanese (was good training for it too!) and when he got to level 17 he learned how to communicate with everyone telepathically, "making the people hear the words he said inside their heads in their most familiar language" as he sort of communicated with their Ki, not with their ears.
This was all done by roleplaying though, and since there were no real language tokens, it worked out for him too.

Not sure if that inspired anyone, but that's how I worked it out personally.

      Cer'wyïl Durothil - Mix-breed noble elf
      Tredonael - The shapeshifter
Glagnur Frostfury - The arctic dwarf barbarian
Calewyn Gil'Fang - Wood elven archer
Jaegor Ursablad - The wychlaran knight from Rashemen

I try not to "Gimmick" anything I make. I never ever make an token item power that can be done with more class as a feat. Its not worth it. Quality over quantity. It may take me an extra 20 minutes to make it into a feat, but in the end, its a hell of a lot more respected.

And really, that's what it's all about. R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

          Respect. Just a little bit.
          Mirumoto Akagi: What is dance?
Dalon Arogard: It's this. *busts a move*
          Llew Hy: A strange compulsion...
Mirumoto Akagi: I suppose you can dance if you like, but you're leaving our friends behind, and they're not dancing.
Dalon Arogard: Then they're no friends of mine.
