  • Hairstylist.

I'd like to see an NPC which would allow a person to alter their hair style. This could possibly give way for designers or whatever to make Sundren custom hair styles, perhaps not. I was trying to fathom, in my small mind, how this would work and simply could not. I'd imagine changing hair colors via dyes would be extremely hard, and out of the question. But I don't imagine changing a character's hairstyle would be as hard.

This is just coming from someone who gets tired of seeing the same hairstyle day-in, day-out. Nothing truly important, just an idea that has probably already been discussed.

In that, I mean that it seems like the sundren staff has just about covered every imaginable ... thing..

Train of thought lost, thanks NyQuil.

    Not possible.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

It is possible, just extremely hard. First you'd need to create a load of new NPCs to act as mannequins to show what you can change to, and second you'd have to alter the character file each change (thus each time you change, you get booted out).

That's a lot of work to put in for an RP server. Maybe on a social server where graphics are more important this idea would be higher priority, but in Sundren you're best sticking with what you chose at character creation and RPing that it's different in some way.

Bad hair day? Buy a hat, or cover your head with a giant moth.

        How do I get around?

          *flutters!*

Or cover it with a large piece of toast with peanut butter.

            I disagree.
I challenge you to show me the plugin that will alter the character file. Cause I haven't found one yet that actually works as stated. All the ones on the vault are junk, so don't show me those.

              ...

Mmm... What this? This is a jar of peanut butter... Do you like peanut butter?... Do you like to lick it?... You know you like to lick it... And I could make you.

...Yeah what the hell, got any chunky?

              (This thread... NNNNneeeeooooowwwwwnnn BOOM!)

On a possibly related subject, maybe its just better to find a style you like and stick with it. While you might get some new styles to pick in the character creater messing around with npc's, booting and rejoining... I've seen the NWN2 toolset and I wouldn't touch that wearing three rubbers and a hazmat suit.

In a few short days, the character creation process will gain a few more heads/hair. Until then. patience.
