I've been playing now for only a few days, but I'm level 5 now and I still haven't yet found a decent rapier for a druid (actually spirit shaman, but the concept is pretty much the same). The more I thought about it, the more I realised it's impossible for the designers of Sundren to accomodate weapons for everyone. For example, there's a swashbuckler's blade, which is an enchanted rapier but this is not relevant nor suitable for my character, but how many enchanted rapiers can I really expect to find lying around?
Then I had an idea, inspired by both PnP play and Hordes of the Underdark, and it's possible it may have been suggested before because it's a perfectly viable roleplay concept. What about a blacksmith that takes commissions? For those with the gold for it, why shouldn't there be a smith who will make the weapon you want and enchant it in the way you wish? It might take several days (RL days even) and cost a great deal but it also means people won't all be running around with the same weapons and armour.
It's possible that something like this is too complex, I admit I know very little about scripting and such, but I thought it was worth suggesting just in case. I know I'd find it useful so I'm sure other people would too.
