Ugh. I don't know what to say really.

It's suppose to auto spot hidden right?

It doesn't, so I was talking to certain people. Maybe if it isn't to hard to add, you could have true seeing buff a players spot kill X amount.

Just a thought. I also reported it on the nwn2 forums dunno if they will fix it or if they can fix it.
Yup, I put a signature in..

I thought it was just meant to be a counter to Illusion (ie; invisibility), but I could be wrong!

Which it should not, if we follow the example of PnP rules.

It sees through the illusionary rock, but not the regular one.

I'm guessing, however, that the way Obsidian put it together is to simply make it make everyone/everything show up on your perception table, and thus does not discriminate between hiding and invis'd.

I had always thought it to be as MKartmaster said. If it did spot hidden people as well, it'd be a bit uber IMO.

That's how it certainly should be. But I think they kept it seeing hiding people from NWN1, maybe as a legacy thing, or maybe just due to a system restraint. *shrugs*

It still doesn't see through HIPS though, at least I think thats right.

True seeing allows you to see anyone invisible through magic or stealthed. It's working fine last time I checked, and I have no plans to change how it works.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

yeah hips is just the stealth skills, only you can hide anytime.

true seeing really should only work for magical invisibility

True Seeing does not reveal mundane hiding in PnP. I don't know how it works in NWN2, but in NWN it picked up everything when it really shouldn't have.

Remember stealth can also be used to hide behind trees and other objects. It can also be used to blend into a crowd, or to seem completely unassuming.

True Seeing allows you to see through any Illusion or magical barriers. True seeing does not allow you to pick out the rogue in a crowd of people, or let you see through the corner of a building he's hiding around.

It I had my way True seeing would allow you to see invisible, and give +20 spot.
