I was wondering if the dev team would be willing to fix the Pale Master caster progression. Pale Masters are supposed to be just like Eldritch Knights when it comes to spell progression I.E. no change at the first level, normal progression there after, this is how the class works in DnD, no idea why NWN1+2 screwed this up. Currently Pale Masters only get a spell progression every other level, this really hurts Pale Masters and is the reason you don't see any, well that and the fact that summoning undead is just a joke.

Yeah. As it is, all players do is dip into it a single level for the instant and free-of-charge AC bonus.Pyras: Red Wizard of Thay, High Arcanist of Illusion, Master of the Enclave's Knight Commander.

I'm pretty sure spell progression is hardcoded, making this suggestion impossible.The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Well if you dip a level Kang then you don't get any spell progression at all, so for a caster it's a dead level as Pale Masters only get spell progression every even level. Oh no wait you get +2 ac, not really worth it.
EDIT AFTER SEEING SAULUS'S POST: Ahh but I have an idea oh great wizard of oz. You could like poke sharringtonm into making a new PrC, Name it Pale Master(V2.0), give it the proper stuff and there you go!

I can adjust the Palemasters spell casting progression. I won't do it without Saulus's explicit instructions to do so though, regardless of how many people want it.
Every 2da that we modify has to be checked everytime Atari releases a patch, and we already have a good 20 to look thru.
And... I have no opinion to express on this.

I play a palemaster, and the spell progression is not really THAT bad... the AC more than makes up for it. I mean, atm I have 42/3 AC, not to mention a zombie and a ghoul I can play with
Palemasters are meant to be necromancers that have sacrificed some of their arcane capabilities to screw around with their own bodies, anyway (or so I hear), so the slowed spell progression makes sense.Val Evra - Wandmaker and Wanderer

Athough I don't wish to see another army of Necromancers the pedant in me says that it would be nice to have this fixed.
The fact that there is already a fix out there and Obs won't do anything about it irks me somewhat.Peppington Merrifefferlis - Most learned scholar of the fine exalted institution that is Candlekeep, centre of all learning that is Arcane and magical in nature. Also loves cats.
