    All-types application only

    This came to my opinion when i read the Evil-application suggestion


    I do believe all charactors should have reason to why they are Chaotic evil
    I also believe all charactors should have reason to why they are Chaotic neutral
    I also believe all charactors should have reason to why they are Chaotic good
    I also believe all charactors should have reason to why they are Neutral evil
    I also believe all charactors should have reason to why they are True neutral
    I also believe all charactors should have reason to why they are Neutral good
    I also believe all charactors should have reason to why they are Lawfull evil
    I also believe all charactors should have reason to why they are Lawfull neutral
    I also believe all charactors should have reason to why they are Lawfull good

    This is a strongly out-of-proportions suggestion. But i believe EVERYONE should have an RP reason for EVERYTHING about their charactor. WHY does he hate elves? WHY does he always walk with a limp? WHY does he want to kill all banites? WHY does he follow Bane? WHY does he follow Helm?

    I suggest there is something put in, maybe a bio for every PC that is created, or something else, so people have reasons to act like they do...

    Did my rant make sense? Sorry, i'm not good at explaining things.

    I don't know... I don't think it's a good idea to have application-only chars at all, apart from the obvious tiefling, drow, RWoT, etc. that they have now.
    1) It tends to push new people away, and 2) It makes it harder for people who are new to RP'ing.

      We won't be changing how we handle applications.
      The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

        WHY do you think that players don't already come up with the reasons their characters are a certain way? WHY do you think they have to put it out in their bio for everyone to read?

        Just trust that people chose their alignments for a reason. Too many applications creates way too much hassle and bother. If DMs see someone not following their alignment, they can correct it, no point wasting their time going through applications for every single player.


        You make this thread as if everyone out there chooses alignments and whatnot for no reason at all. You really should have more faith that people DO have reasons. Just because you don't know them doesn't mean they don't exist.

          We had every single player Apply before. If we thought it was a good idea, we would have kept it that way. When NWN2 first came out and people were getting servers sorted, we had every other new player just some grinder looking for somewhere to fuck around. Now that more servers are out, grinders avoid RP servers and we also learned who are players are and who are the idiots.

          No application process change.
