Some random thoughts
Honestly, I enjoy gaming on Sundren for the most part the Role-play is superb. That said I do have some ideas, and while I know and understand in the final answer it is Saulus? server and world. I do hope some of this is considered.
Finally, that last point revisited, players need to feel they are contributing to the Game World that they characters have some purpose or they WILL get bored and eventually move on. YES, players move on, some just up and stop gaming, some have IRL issues that make they move on, and others go away to college or graduate from college. AND, YES new ones will come to the Game World and add new life to it. You can argue with this all you might wish, but the fact remains IF the community feels it is a living, breathing part of the development of the Game World only 20% of your community will move on for IRL reasons. The core 80% will stay with you through thick on thin, and more so in an ongoing gaming campaign as opposed to a Pencil and Paper one.

- Factions in Sundren: I can and do appreciate the faction part of Role-Play, but I think it would sort everyone from the DM staff to the Players if instead of various organization like the Thayan Enclave or Banites or even the Church of the Triumvirate where alignments are generally known by the group?s reputation. Players were allowed to join one of the local city noble houses that are vying for rulership over all the lands of Sundren. This would allow mixed alignments within each organization. No one Noble House would ever be allowed to Best any of the others do to the constant threats from without such as the Mossdale Orcs, the Viridale Gnolls, and other such threats as the DM staff entertains to trouble the player community with. Furthermore, each Noble house could have some more nefarious unknown aspect to it, such has Head of the Noble House is really a High Priest of Bane or some agent of some other reprehensible organization. So, you could have a Paladin of Tyr working for some Noble House and not even know they are serving an agent of evil, because they never meet with or have reason to suspect he or she is serving evil. Again, the Thayan Enclave can return to being an organization that is out seeking knowledge, Power and a Profit, while all the time each member is out to do unto the other members before they do unto him or her. Also, having inter-Noble House Blood Feuds does allow for far more factional interaction between players than it stands now. Player verse Player combat would be more akin to Dumas? Three Musketeers where you have the King?s Musketeers always dueling the Cardinal?s Guards in the streets. As for the number of them, I would say one Noble Family per major settlement in Sundren. Exigo Mining & Trading Company, the Thayan Enclave and the Eboncoin Pact, it is in their best interests to maintain the status quo. So, you can have Noble houses with Thayan advisors who are really agents for the Enclave there to make sure the family does not get to much power. But, remember too much questionable advice and that same Thayan Advisor could find his head on the House Battlements.
- Mapped areas for Sundren: There are some areas I think should be removed from Sundren?s world map, the Druid Grove for one. It already has in access transition from the Viridale forest, if really does not require one from the map. Also, this would free up another possible map area for the World map. It might be better it we all came through the Crossroads before entering the Exigo Trading area as opposed to entering the Trading Outpost first. Sort of having the choice to go on the Exigo Trading Outpost or continue on to some other location, like a swamp area of Lizardmen, Trolls and a Black Dragons, Oh My!. And, the Cold Climb pass would be nice if it had some transition to an area that led to Frost Giants and maybe a White Dragon, or even have that White Dragon be the Lord of the Frost Giants.
- Wilderness and Associated Character Classes: More Ranger equipment, I?m sorry, but it the choices of Ranger equipment are really lacking, and the pricing generally sends players, whether or not they are rangers, to other sources for any type of equipment. It almost negates the whole reason for having the Ranger Outpost. And, speaking of the Ranger outpost it could really use an escape transition back into the Viridale Forest. As for the Viridale Forest, it could use some more areas that divided it in east, west, north and south areas and exchange the Dire Animals for more everyday types. Even for the given reasons they may be there, Dire Animals encounters would be more believable if they were far rarer than they are now in the Viridale forest.
