Magic circle vs. alignment

This spell is pretty damn annoying in a party. I'm not sure if the developers have played with it, but make a decent sized party and run around the party members for a bit to see why its so annoying.

So, the suggestion is to remove the sound effect from it. This might be doable already for all I know, but I imagine it requires a 2da modification, so that would mean a hak.

This spell is one of the most annoying effects in NWN2. Even one person moving into the area of effect is enough to set off the flash activation of the spell with video and audio effects to all within the area of effect. The audio effect is most unpleasant.

Is the effect beyond annoying? Well, maybe so. I have carefully observed the server response when this spell is in effect... response times may be somewhat decreased until the flash effect passes... a possible LAG contributor. Therefore, I do not use the spell and prefer that it is not used in my party at all.

In my opinion, the suggestion to remove the sound effect has merit.

It's not going to cause any kind of lag other than graphical lag, which is something completely different.

I agree. Just edit the spell for no sound and make it an overide. The world will thank you.


But. Circle of Invisibility is the stupidest NWN2 spell. It has a white magic fire circle that the entire PW can see. Now that's stupid.
