  • Shady Dealer

Is there a way that you can at least maybe come back after a couple levels and try the shady dealer in the trade tier again? I missed my intimidate by one point and would bet after a couple more levels, would be able to intimidate the guy.

I am not advocating that you should be able to try until you make your roll, but it would be nice to at least get two chances.

This would be a suggestion. Moved.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Agreed. Especially since most people come across this person right when they join and have very low scores in the needed skills, and because there is no warning about him ignoring you from that point on.

What I like about the Shady dealer, is not the stuff he sells, but he buys anything you have in your inventory. And, for my character, a rogue, it is more realistic for him to go to a "shady dealer" or fence to get rid of his spoils.

So, its part RP but also very convenient to be able to unload everything at one stop.

As for the minor traps thing--it is still useful for roleplay for Rangers/Rogues and whoever else that uses traps to slow down enemies. My ranger is archer base, and he likes to pick things off at a distance. Setting up traps along the way towards him would slow down his targets to he could pick them off--like tanglefoot traps for example.

So the shady dealer's traps have a bit more use than just being there. And for rp, it is fun.
            Characters:

Tiberias Laylonar: Ranger of the Viridale, Woodsman of the Cormanthor, Stalker of Sundren, Hunter of Illusk, Strider of the Wood, Tracker of many means, and Rugged womanizer--on a short chain.

K'narth: The True-Neutral Barbarian of Helm. All body, no brains...or does he? "K'narth bes Helmet!" "Farewell byes!" Guess not.

Johnathan Dalrun: Holy Knight of Kelemvor, Good looking womanizer, and sarcastic meatshield--now lying in the Necropolis, dead as a doornail.

There are other trap dealers in game and "Pawn" places. If you screw up on the dealer, try elsewhere. Shady dealer isn't changing.
