  • Sort of an OOC store

It might be useful to have store with basic customization stuff in the ooc start-up area. The items I've been thinking about are stuff like various 'helmets', belts and basic boots to have our characters already look their part when they enter the game. Things could include:

    Helmets:

    > Eyepatch
    > Swashbuckler hat
    > Cloth headband/bandana (perhaps a few different colors)
    > Golden circlet
    > Hood
    > Turban-style hat (useful for characters from Calimsham, perhaps a couple of color variations)

    Belts:

    > Almost all standard belt appearances could work

    Boots:

    > Leather boots (various appearances)
    > Hide boots
    > Studded leather boots

All of them would be completely mundane items, simply useful for enhanced visual customization since NWN2 doesn't let us customize our gear with crafting.

Having some basic outfits available in different colors would also be very useful to have our characters look more diverse.

We've had this suggestion many times before but there will never be a real OOC area and there won't ever be a shop there. The Loading area is simply a buffer for loading data and transitioning.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

      Ah, ok

Any other ways to get a bit more visual customization then?
The lack of visual customization via crafting is still my main complaint with NWN2, the game feels rather limiting when you try to create a 'non-standard' adventurer look (e.g. chars from other regions than Western Heartlands/northern Sword Coast or chars from a non-adventurer/unusual background).
Perhaps modifying and integrating 'Charlie's Appearance Modifier' could be an option unless Obsidian decides to add the necessary functions to the game in the foreseeable future.
