Custom character options, from the Vault

This is a link to a hak; its compiled from three others, I have seen all three, they really add character customization, heads, hair, clothing. Of course clothing is a choice for builders to decide how to implement it. This is a great part of RPing for me to have all these options to give characters more visual detail, first impressions and all that!

If you decide to walk around without your Kit on, expect fingers pointing at you going "Har Har", Mothers covering Childrens eyes, maybe not riding on a horse accross a bridge, but you get my point.

Even in NWN1, when you went to the Moonstone Mask, if you decided to go upstairs you would wake up in your Undies! something similar please, the NWN2 normal nude equivalent is more clothes than standard armour! The idea of real character customization is fantastic! I really believe it is important for a person to be able to customize their outfit to suit their armour. Can't have a heroic Paladin freeing the poor from slavery running around in thier "Pink Reflecto Armour of Fluffy Bunnies" because it offers the best AC, DR, SR and casts "Hideous Laughter" now can we?

The idea of Layering clothes sounds cool, but i don't think that's possible with NWN2.

I do Agree... but that's not what I'm referring to. Granted, i did this with my Single Player Campaign one (Wasn't too bad. Did the Erinyes armour as Mithril Breastplate. I did put armoured arms and shoulders to make it look real-ish!), but I'm not suggesting that a female character running around with only Nipple Rings gets the benefits of a breast plate. I'm more saying that the base is nude, not the armour itself. I think if someone is playing a more dexterous fighter, wanting to wear a breastplate but keep the arms free i think they should be able to. Look at the default Warlock outfit, that's pretty skimy but has Leather Armour qualities. I agree... keep their power leveled out (Full plate shouldn't be able to go very skinky. Maybe raise the belly at the most) but i feel the choice of look should be down to the player.

Long story short, have it possible, but not ridiculous. Prevent Heavier armour properties applying to lighter looking armour. A Really skimpy Full plate should really become a Breastplate or less. I know this wouldn't be able to be policed, but maybe put in an actual hard limit of approved modifications. only 20 of the 50 Full plate looking armour Haks should be allowed because the others look like they are for a Valkyrie Stipteaser.

Because we aren't going to fill up people's hardrives with useless add-ons like nudity which will only attract people interested in cybering.

There are already alot of clothing hak pak in sundren i believe. Alleanes 1-3 was there before, but they cant implent it in the shop, and they're a bit too busy to let players send ERF's and have DM's create it for them.

Not sure I understand the thought process of if they have it they will flaunt it mentality. Several good servers http://www.dragoncoast.org/ being a fine example have a nude skin, and over several months I saw one player flaunt it, and they were handled via RP rather well by the other players.

Again that skin was not the focus, hair, heads, clothing (very important the clothing)... so everyone keep their shirts on.

Thought maybe I was in the bible belt there for a moment.

Since you went the route of trying to explain, I'll go one deeper.

What is the point of nudity? What gain is there to RP? I'd say pushing for nudity is rather childish. It'd only be to arouse sexual interest in content and to be honest, I don't want that any kind of real focus for player RP. It just encourages things we don't condone, cybering being one of them.

If you really want nudity that bad, and Dragon Coast offers it, then you are free to go play on Dragon Coast, nobody is trying to stop you, however, as you can see, from the Developer standpoint, our players don't want to see it, some of our players are too young to decide if they want to see it, and I just think of it as a gateway to Cybering which I don't want to see players doing.

As for suggestive clothing, well, there's already some of that in the module.
