  • Updater Feedback - What would help?

I pretty much make the updater based on Saulus' and my own thoughts. However, it'd be interesting to know what people think of it. Spit out your opinions here.

Straight forward and easy to use. I can't see any problems with it myself. Great job.

One problem with it or at least, the set up. Unfortunately, my setup at home was as it was when i bought it off a friend and my only mistake was to not re-partition it. At the moment, it's got a old 10Gb hard disk partitioned pretty much down the middle (about 4g on C, 6g on D), and the hardrive that my mate had which is a 40g partitioned 75:25 (30g for my E, and 10g for my F). Now the problem is I'm running Windows off C, so it is running a bit low on space, but that's cool. I ended up clearing the D: and i use that one for all the Pagefile and Virtual Memory. The problem is that "My Documents" is on C drive and thus, so is my Temp folder. The catch is that i avoid using C drive for anything, but i have noticed that the Sundren system seems to install everything to the Mydocuments copy of the Neverwinter nights folder. From my fiddeling, i have been able to put everything into the normal Neverwinter nights folder i have installed on E drive, but the sundren updater is putting it all on my very strained C drive. Is there a way to move it all over the the actual isntall folder, and still have the updater work (I have a feeling that it is going to cause problems beause i think the autoupdater looks for the files in My docos). any ideas? Just tried updating last night and it bombed out cause both its Temp stuff AND Destination stuff was on the same drive. At least my fast connection means re-trying wont be too painful.

I got about one sentence in, please use paragraphs.

Go to options, change the folder for My Documents, and you're all set!

                    good point however.

Ouch. My knuckles and that ruler!

I just use Paragraph problems to distract from my Splelling Miistackes and, bud, Pnucktuality! errors?

I will try rediecting the My docos to The NWN2 folder. Cheers.

This is the only server that I have been on that has an auto update loader and it is very appreciated. It works perfect, at least from what I have experienced.

                      Great work!
